NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating an assault that left one man dead and a second man wounded in Queens on Monday.
At approximately 12:44 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call at the Baisley Houses located at 116-80 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard in Jamaica.
Upon arrival, police discovered 26-year-old Hakim Blankumsee, who had been shot in the torso.
He was transported to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An unidentified 27-year-old man sustained a stab wound to his hand and was transported to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
The investigation remains ongoing.
