12-year-old boy shot on Midtown street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 12-year-old boy was shot and wounded in Midtown on Sunday night, police said.

The boy was shot in the left leg shortly after 9 p.m. at 124 West 30th St., just west of Sixth Avenue and a few blocks south of Herald Square.

He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was in stable condition.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he was the intended target or a bystander.

According to sources, three males fled the shooting scene in an unknown direction.

The investigation continued Monday, with no arrests reported.
