12-year-old hit with juvenile report for tossing debris out of Times Square hotel window, injuring woman

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 12-year-old was nabbed for tossing a glass bottle out of the 32nd floor of a Times Square hotel on Friday, injuring a woman, the NYPD said.

Just before 5 p.m. at 44th Street and Eighth Avenue, the InterContinental Hotel in Midtown, a 24-year-old woman was injured by what police believe was the falling debris, officials said.

Officers found the victim with a laceration on her head. She was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

Video from Citizen App showed a crowd and large police presence responding to the incident, including an NYPD helicopter.

Two males and two females were taken into custody, and two males and one of the females were questioned before release, police said.

The 12-year-old girl received a juvenile charge for reckless endangerment, cops said.

The ages of the other people who were questioned were not released by police.
