17-year-old boy fatally shot, girls stabbed in Brooklyn violence: ‘It's sick, it’s scary’

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot and three girls were injured in a stabbing just blocks apart in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, police said.

The teen boy was shot in the head around 8:20 p.m. inside a restaurant at 514 New Lots Ave. in East New York.


Friends and family said the victim, Ahmir Jordan, was from Bedford-Stuyvesant and was in East New York visiting a girlfriend when he was shot.

Jordan was pronounced dead at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center.

A 35-year-old man was also cut by shattered glass as people fled the restaurant, according to police.

No arrests have been reported in the shooting. Police said they were searching for two men in blue surgical masks who ran towards Bradford Street.

Just minutes later and about three blocks away in an unrelated incident, two girls were stabbed and one was slashed inside a Dollar Tree at Stanley and Van Siclen avenues.

According to sources, a woman was arguing with the girls when she pulled out a knife and attacked them. A 13-year-old and 15-year-old were stabbed multiple times in the torso, while a 16-year-old was slashed, police said.

The two girls who were stabbed were hospitalized. The girl who was slashed was treated at the scene.

Police arrested Viola Bouyer, 44, of Brooklyn, and charged her with eight counts of assault and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
