NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man and a woman were killed in separate falls from buildings in Queens and Manhattan on Saturday, authorities said.
Construction worker Diego Lliguicota, 32, fell from a scaffold at 9:30 a.m. as he was trying to remove a ladder on the sixth floor of 4518 Court Sq. in Long Island City, authorities said.
Lliguicota was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The fatal accident was the second involving a New York City construction worker in four days.
A worker was killed on Wednesday and a second worker was injured when the elevator they were in fell several floors at a building being renovated in the Bronx.

A 24-year-old woman also died earlier Saturday morning when she fell from a rooftop in the East Village, police said.
The woman was trying to climb between rooftops during a party on Avenue A, near E. 12th Street, around 3:30 a.m. when she fell between a gap into an airshaft.
She was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She has not been identified.
