2 men dead, 1 woman injured in overnight stabbing incidents

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two suspects were arrested in connection to two separate fatal overnight stabbings that left two men dead and a woman injured.

The first incident occurred just after 11 p.m. inside of a bodega at 3422 Broadway on 139th Street in Harlem. Cops were responding to calls of an assault inside of the store and when they arrived they found a 35-year-old man with two stab wounds to his chest and one to his neck. He was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Police recovered a knife at the scene and took a 61-year-old man into custody. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. Charges are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.

Hours later in Queens, another dispute occurred around 3:12 a.m. in front of 38-27 98 Street in Corona between a 20-year-old man and two victims, cops said.

The 20-year-old allegedly stabbed both 32-year-old victims, a man and a woman, with an unknown object. The man had stab wounds to his head while the woman had stab wounds to her arm. They were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst where the man was pronounced dead and the woman remains in stable condition, officials said.

The 20-year-old suspect has been taken into custody and charges are pending.  The investigation remains ongoing.
