NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Shootings in Brooklyn and the Bronx left two men dead overnight, police said Friday.
The first shooting erupted on E. 172nd Street, near Rosedale Avenue, in the Soundview section of the Bronx around 12:45 a.m.
Officers responding to a 911 call found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his back and shoulder.

The victim, later identified as Ameen Johnson, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center but did not survive.
Just hours later in Brooklyn, a 39-year-old man was shot at Miller Avenue and Fulton Street in Cypress Hills shortly before 5:20 a.m., police said.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was found unconscious by officers, according to police.
EMS pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity has been withheld pending the notification of his family.

No arrests have been reported in either shooting.
