NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two men were shot and killed over the span of less than 30 minutes in separate shootings early Saturday morning, according to police.
The first shooting took place at the corner of Glenwood Road and East 45th Street in Brooklyn’s Flatlands neighborhood around 4:19 a.m., officials said.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 29-year-old man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head.
EMS rushed the man to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead
The second shooting took place at 4:46 a.m. on University Avenue near Featherbed Lane in the Bronx’s University Heights neighborhood, according to authorities.
A 42-year-old man was reportedly hit in the arm and torso.
EMS brought him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not yet made arrests for either of the shootings, and the identities of both men are being withheld pending notification of the victims’ families.
