NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Two men robbed a 41-year-old man by impersonating law enforcement officials on Oct. 3., police said on Tuesday.
The incident happened around 3:42 a.m. when the two unidentified men approached the victim on Roosevelt Avenue in Queens.
The two men displayed an unidentified card, falsely impersonating law enforcement officials, and then forcibly took the victim's backpack before running away from the scene.
The victim was not harmed.
One of the suspects was caught while the other one ran away. He was last seen heading eastbound on Roosevelt Avenue.
Police are actively looking for the suspect who they described as a man in his early 20s.
