NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released photos Tuesday of two men who allegedly posed as gas company workers to pull off an armed home invasion in Queens late Sunday night.

It happened at approximately 11:05 p.m. in a residential building near the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Woodbine Street in Ridgewood.

According to police, a 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were inside their home when the two suspects knocked on the door, identifying themselves as representatives of a gas company.

When the 27-year-old victim opened the door to assist them, the suspects forcibly pushed their way into the apartment. Once inside, they brandished firearms and demanded property, stealing the 27-year-old victim's cellphone.

The suspects fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The first suspect was last seen wearing eyeglasses, tan pants, a white hat, and green jacket. The second was last seen wearing a white face mask, black jackets, and gray sweatpants.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
