NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are investigating after two men were gunned down, one fatally, on Friday night while they left a NYCHA building in Brooklyn.

Shots were fired in front of 140 Moore St., a building near Humboldt Street that is part of NYCHA’s Bushwick Houses, at about 11:56 p.m., police said.

At the scene, responding officers discovered an unresponsive 21-year-old man who was shot once in the head.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst where he was pronounced dead. Release of his identity is pending proper family notification, police said.

Shortly thereafter, a 20-year-old man walked into NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull with gunshot graze wounds to his head, ear and leg, and told authorities that he was injured in the shooting on Moore Street.

He is in stable condition.

Sources told 1010 WINS/WCBS 880 that the two victims went to the Moore Street building to meet people, and they had just left and were heading to their vehicle when the shooting took place.

There are currently two suspects, one of which fled the scene on foot, and another that fled on a moped, sources said.

The investigation is ongoing and there have been no arrests.
