NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Fireworks that exploded inside a Queens park on Monday seriously hurt two NYPD officers, according to a report.
The officers were on duty at Fresh Meadows Park around 3:45 a.m. when the fireworks exploded, the New York Post reported, citing police and sources.
The explosion seriously injured one officer's right hand and right eye, the outlet reported. The other officer "lost a finger," according to the outlet.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident, the outlet reported. An investigation is ongoing.
