2 teens injured in double stabbing on Astoria street corner

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after two teenagers were hospitalized after a double stabbing on an Astoria street corner Monday night, police said.

At approximately 8:20 p.m., authorities received a 911 call reporting an assault at the intersection of 31st Avenue and 45th Street. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered the teens suffering from multiple stab wounds, officials said.


A 16-year-old boy was found with severe stab wounds to his neck, head, and back. EMS rushed him to Harlem Hospital for treatment. The second victim, a 17-year-old boy, suffered a stab wound to his face and was transported to Elmhurst Hospital.

Both teenagers are currently listed in stable condition, according to the NYPD.

Police have not yet released any information regarding a suspect or a potential motive behind the attack. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
