15-year-old boy killed, another teen wounded in East Flatbush shooting

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A teen was killed and another was injured during a shooting in Brooklyn on Tuesday afternoon, the NYPD said.

The shooting took place at 80 East 93rd St., located near Rutland Road in East Flatbush, at about 3:30 p.m.

When officers responded they found a 15-year-old boy shot in the head in the building lobby, police said.

He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County where he was pronounced dead. He was identified as Heath Campbell, of Brooklyn.

Another boy, 16, was discovered inside a third-floor apartment with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder, officials said.

He was transported to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
