NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police launched an investigation after two teens were slashed in a Queens park on Tuesday evening, authorities said.
At around 7:30 p.m. officials were called to Astoria Park near the swimming pool, authorities said.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl each with a slash wound to the stomach.
The 19-year-old was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst and the 17-year-old was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. Both are expected to recover.
The suspects are believed to be a group of teens.
The slashings reportedly happened following a dispute. It is unclear what the dispute was about.
There have been no arrests made, and an investigation remains ongoing.
