
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two women who tried to make off with about $1,300 worth of items from the JCPenney at the Staten Island Mall last week.

The two suspects stuffed the items into a bag on Sept. 15 around 12:30 p.m. at the Mall in New Springville.
One of them left to pull a car around — a black Camaro RS with Texas license plate #1DV-2045.
The other woman was stopped by security as she tried to leave the store with the bag full of stolen goods.
When a security guard confronted her, she asked “Do you want to get tased?” before dropping the bag and fleeing into the Camaro.
They didn’t end up taking any stolen items with them.
