NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three people were hospitalized, and a dog was reportedly killed, in a high-rise apartment fire in the Rockaways on Monday night, the FDNY said.
The fire broke out around 8:45 p.m. on the eighth floor of a 12-story apartment building on Shore Front Parkway, near Beach 102nd Street, in Rockaway Beach.

Firefighters were able to get the two-alarm fire under control by 9:45 p.m.
Three people were taken to Nassau University Medical Center in unknown conditions, according to the FDNY.
A firefighter was seen carrying the body of a dog out of the building, PIX11 reported.
Officials haven't yet said what may have sparked the fire.
