NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three people were killed and four more were injured, including firefighters, in a three-alarm house fire in Queens on Saturday morning.
The fire broke out in a three-story home on 48th Avenue, near 91st Street, in Elmhurst around 5:30 a.m., FDNY Chief of Fire Operations Thomas Richardson said. At least 138 members of the FDNY responded to the fire, which spread to all three floors of the house.

One of the firefighters fell through a hole on the first floor into the basement, officials said.
Two people were also unaccounted for, but officials said they may not have been at the home at the time of the fire.
A neighbor said squatters had been occupying the home, and there were complaints to the city Department of Buildings that dozens of people were living there earlier this year, according to WABC.
The NYC Fire Marshal will determine the cause of the fire.
