NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The list of CityMD urgent cares temporarily closing grew Tuesday as COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the Tri-State.
CityMD announced 12 additional closures Tuesday, going into effect Wednesday. It brings their total to 31.
There are now 20 closures in New York City, two in Westchester, four on Long Island and five in New Jersey.
“Continuing to provide these services to the community is a top priority; however, our physicians and teammates are also a priority. To preserve our ability to staff our sites, we have temporarily closed certain locations,” CityMD said on its website. “It is our hope that closing sites now will best allow us to avoid future closures as this surge continues.”

The closures are affecting every New York City borough except Staten Island. Each of the four boroughs will have at least one more CityMD location temporarily closed come Wednesday.
CityMD has 150 locations across the region, sand said “any patients affected by temporary closings should still have easy and convenient access to a CityMD location.”
When the locations will reopen wasn’t clear.
