NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are looking for four men after an 11-year-old boy was robbed on a Brooklyn subway train platform as part of a brutal near-same-day spree this month.
According to police, the young victim was on a southbound 2 train platform at the Borough Hall/Court Street station on May 3 around 2:30 p.m. when one of the thieves grabbed the boy's cellphone from his hand. The perpetrator fled to parts unknown.
The boy was not physically injured.
The next day, around 1 a.m., police said the four suspects approached a 40-year-old victim as the southbound 2 train approached the President Street–Medgar Evers College station.
The victim was then punched multiple times in the head and body and his cellphone was forcibly removed, cops said.
The 40-year-old exited the train at the station, and the robbery crew stayed on the train, heading to parts unknown.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County for minor injuries.
Police on Tuesday released photos of three of the suspects wanted.
