One of the victims was said to be a New York City Housing Authority worker at the Warren Houses, while other victims were believed to be members of a street gang, officials told the Daily News.

Residents reported hearing gunfire before police and paramedics arrived.

"All I know is I was in my living room and I heard shots and came and heard people yelling and screaming and bodies going into ambulances," one neighbor told the New York Post.

Witnesses said the gunman took off in a red sedan after the shooting. No arrests have been reported.
