NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police detained a man they said fatally stabbed another man with a machete and slashed a young girl and another man in Brooklyn Sunday evening.
Officials rushed to 300 Putnam Avenue near Nostrand Avenue in Bed-Stuy around 6:20 p.m.

Responding officers discovered a 79-year-old man with a stab wound to the abdomen, a 49-year-old man who'd been slashed in the hand and a 4-year-old girl wounded in the hip.
Police took the attacker into custody and charges were pending as of early Monday morning.
The man in custody was later ID'ed by PIX11 as 22-year-old Dayquan Dubose from Brooklyn.
The victims were Dubose's grandfather, his young sister and brother-in-law, the report adds.
The victims were rushed to two different hospitals, according to an FDNY spokesperson.
The grandfather died at the hospital, they added.
