
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Nine people were injured after a fire tore through an apartment building in Harlem Tuesday night, authorities said.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., the fire broke out on the second floor of a six-story building located at 137 West 141st St., officials said.
It took firefighters about an hour to get the blaze under control.
There were nine civilians injured in the fire, according to FDNY officials.
Four victims were transported to Harlem Hospital and their conditions are unknown. Five refused medical attention.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and an investigation is ongoing.
