NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Angelina Jolie will open a collaborative art space in a NoHo building once frequented by artists Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Jolie has signed an eight-year lease at 57 Great Jones St. for her fashion endeavor, Jolie Atelier, which she just announced in May.

The actress described Jolie Atelier as "a place for creative people to collaborate with a skilled and diverse family of expert tailors, pattern makers and artisans."

The "creative collective for self-expression" debuts in fall 2023 out of the Jones Street address, which will offer 6,600 square feet of space for artists.

Warhol purchased the two-floor building in 1970 and owned it for decades. Basquiat was living and working out of a studio there when he died in 1988.

The building had been on the market for $60,000 a month, according to Hyperallergic.

On Instagram Sunday, Jolie called it "a privilege to be in this space."

"We will do our best to respect and honor its artist legacy with community and creativity," she wrote. "Hope to see you there."
