NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man from Arizona died after a driver on a motorcycle hit him as he was crossing a Hell's Kitchen street earlier this week, the NYPD said Friday.
Christopher Bailey, 43, was crossing 12th Avenue at West 48th Street around 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday when a 32-year-old man driving a 2014 Honda motorcycle south on the avenue struck him, police said.
Bailey, who was still conscious after the crash, was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside with head pain, the NYPD said. He died of his injuries at the hospital, police said.
The motorcycle driver was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition, according to police. He was treated for arm injuries, the NYPD said.
An investigation is ongoing.
