NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Bronx bodega was robbed by a trio of armed men late Tuesday night, leaving the workers shaken, according to police and the United Bodegas of America.

The robbery took place just before 11:40 p.m. at El Sitio Deli Grocery, located at 892 Home St. in Morrisania, police said.

Three robbers, all masked, rushed the bodega where a 33-year-old man and 39-year-old man were working.

Surveillance video from the scene, released by UBA, shows one of the suspects pointing a gun at the clerk while two others went behind the counter and removed cash from the register.

Police said that the suspects made off with about $3,000 from the register, as well as money and jewelry off both workers. They ran off on foot east on Home Street to parts unknown.

"We're asking the public, if they know who they are, to turn these guys in," UBA spokesperson Fernando Mateo told 1010 WINS. "I guarantee you they're going to kill someone that doesn't have the cash that they want."

In an effort to get these men off the streets, UBA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to their identification and arrest.

Police said that the first individual was last seen in a black jacket, gray sweatshirt, black ski-mask, black pants and black sneakers.

The second individual was last spotted in a green jacket, gray sweatshirt, light colored pants and black boots, and the third suspect was clad in all black, cops said.

"This is beyond unacceptable. Our bodega workers are being terrorized while simply trying to earn an honest living," UBA president Radhamés Rodriguez said. "Someone could have been killed tonight. We are demanding swift action and real consequences."

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
