VIDEO: Armed suspect steals over $8K from stores in string of robberies across Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify an armed man accused of stealing over $8,000 and more than 20 cell phones in a string of robberies at businesses across Queens, according to police.

Authorities on Thursday released surveillance footage of the wanted man.


The first incident occurred just after noon on June 30, when the suspect entered a store located at 163-33 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica, displayed a firearm removed $300 dollars, officials said.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on July 10, the suspect entered a store located at 160-06 Hillside Avenue in Jamaica, simulated a firearm and removed $250 dollars.

Days later on July 13, at approximately 1:45 p.m., he entered a store located at 159-08 Hillside Avenue in Jamaica, displayed a firearm, and removed nine cellphones and $1,250 dollars, authorities said.

The suspect also entered a store located at 86-12 Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Rockaway Beach and displayed a firearm and removed approximately $350 dollars at about 1:30 p.m. on July 23, according to police.

On July 27, at approximately 11:15 a.m., the suspect entered a store located at 163-33 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica where he displayed a firearm and demanded money but fled the location without removing any property, the NYPD said.

Just after 5 p.m. on August 7, officials said he entered a store located at 87-86 Parsons Boulevard in Jamaica where the suspect displayed a firearm and removed 12 cellphones and $2,000 dollars, according to authorities.

On August 14, at about 2:15 p.m., the suspect entered a store located at 105-08 Cross Bay Boulevard in Ozone Park where he displayed a box cutter and removed a speaker and $250 dollars, officials said.

The last incident was reported at around 2 p.m. on August 16, when the man entered a store located at 21-01 Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway where police said he simulated a firearm and removed 3 cellphones and $800 dollars.

No injuries reported in any of the robberies.
