Citizen App video shows the NYPD Harbor Unit searching the waters before the man was rescued.

The man was brought into custody and taken to Bellevue Hospital, according to the report.

A city sanitation worker who witnessed the jump told the Daily News, "That guy dove — like, literally jumped on the rail and dove in."

"I guess that's what he thought his last resort was — to jump into the river," the worker said.

Details about the assault the man was wanted for weren't immediately known.
