NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — British luxury carmaker Aston Martin is planning to open a Manhattan dealership for the first time ever, according to a report.

The car brand, which has had several vehicles appear in the “James Bond” film series, plans to open a showroom in the former Phillips auction house on Park Avenue, according to the New York Post.
In the showroom, Aston Martin is reportedly planning on bringing a range of expensive rides, including the Vantage – which selling price starts around $150,000 – and the Valkyrie hybrid – which can sell for more than $3.5 million.
Aston Martin has become known as the choice car of fictional international superspy James Bond, who goes by the code name 007. The car brand has appeared in at least seven Bond movies, including the recently released “No Time To Die.”
To celebrate the release of the film, the luxury car brand released two exclusive models – the Vantage 007 and the DBS Superlegger 007 – in November 2020.

However, it remains unclear if the spy-inspired vehicles will make an appearance at the Manhattan showroom.
In a statement to the New York Post, Aston Martin spokesman Paul Garbett stressed that the company is still in the early planning stages for the new dealership.
“Aston Martin looks forward to revealing more about its exciting plans and its ambition to create a truly mesmerizing luxury experience for our customers in one of the most prominent corners of Midtown Manhattan,” he said. “This is all very preliminary.”
The company currently has dealership locations on Long Island, in New Jersey and Connecticut.
Aston Martin was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. The company had been headed by Canadian billionaire investor Lawrence Stroll since January 2020, along with CEO Toto Wolff.
Since Stroll’s takeover, the company has been looking to expand its American market, and also plans on building electric vehicles by 2025.
