
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ WCBS 880 NEWS) – A collapse involving a boom truck at a construction site in Inwood, Manhattan, left multiple people injured on Tuesday afternoon, according to the FDNY.
A boom truck is a commercial truck with a hydraulic crane attached to its chassis.
The incident happened around 2:26 p.m. at a construction site located at 207th St. and 9th Ave, according to police reports.
The collapse happened while multiple workers were on site and as a result, five people have been reported injured. Three sustained serious injuries, while two suffered minor injuries, according to the FDNY.
Emergency services responded quickly to the scene to assist the injured and secure the area.
