NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for an attacker who punched an Asian man inside a Queens subway station last month.
The 22-year-old man was inside the Queens Plaza subway station at Jackson Avenue and Queens Boulevard around 1:30 p.m. on April 18 when another man approached him from behind and punched him in the back and chest, police said Tuesday.

The attacker fled the station after the assault, which is being investigated as a hate crime, the NYPD said.
The 22-year-old man refused medical attention at the scene, police said.
