NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage of a man wanted for punching a 67-year-old man in an unprovoked assault on the Upper East Side on Monday.

At approximately 9:37 a.m, the victim was in the vicinity of Lexington Avenue and East 87th Street when he was approached by the suspect, the NYPD said.

According to police, the suspect punched the victim in the face then proceeded to slam his cellphone to the ground multiple times before fleeing the location on foot, heading southbound on Lexington Avenue.

The victim sustained visible injuries including swelling and bruising but was not hospitalized as a result of the attack.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and black sneakers.
