NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A baby boy is dead and his mother is hospitalized after an incident in Queens on Monday afternoon, police said.
The 15-month-old child was found unresponsive at 108-33 157th St. in Jamaica, officials said. Sources said that the 28-year-old woman was found in the same location with slashes to her wrists.
Both were taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where the child was pronounced dead.
Authorities said that the mother is in stable condition. She is reportedly a suspect and in custody.
The baby’s cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.
