NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A Brooklyn woman was found stabbed to death in her apartment on Wednesday, allegedly by her younger brother, police said.
Latoya Farmer, 34, was found on the floor inside her Starrett City home on Pennsylvania Avenue with multiple stab wounds which police said were caused by her younger brother, 31-year-old Darnell Farmer.
"He was the one who called 911 and said that he stabbed her," a police officer told 1010 WINS. He made the call around 6:15 a.m.
The stab wounds were mainly in her neck and torso, police said.
Darnell was arrested and is now being charged with murder.
A knife was found at the scene.
The reason for the attack is still unknown, and police are investigating.
