NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Brooklyn man pleaded guilty Tuesday to sex trafficking a runaway teen, teaching her to exchange sex for money, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced.

The 32-year-old man, Jordan Adderley, met the 16-year-old victim in Sept. 2020 when she ran away from home, manipulating her into thinking he would help the teen find freedom, according to court documents.
Adderley rented a room at the Hillcrest Hotel in Queens where he taught the teen how to sell her body for money and profited from her doing it. He also had sexual intercourse with the underage girl himself, authorities said.
The trafficker was caught after an undercover NYPD officer rescued the girl at the now-defunct Umbrella Hotel on Queens Boulevard where Adderley brought the teen. He was waiting outside for her with cocaine, officials said.
“No one can undo the trauma inflicted upon this young teenager by this defendant’s callous actions, but as a result of his guilty plea, secured by my Office, the defendant will serve prison time and be held accountable for these egregious crimes,” Katz said.
Adderley pleaded guilty to several charges including sex trafficking, rape and drug possession. He is expected to be sentenced to eight years with five years post-release supervision on May 17. Adderley will also have to register as a sex offender.
