NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify the driver of a vehicle who struck a pedestrian at a Brooklyn intersection last month then fled the scene, authorities said.
The incident happened at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, August 1, as the suspect was driving a light colored BMW SUV at the intersection of Pitkin and Saratoga avenues in Brownsville.
According to police, the vehicle struck a 57-year-old man who was crossing the street.
The victim sustained a serious physical injury and was transported to Brookdale Hospital via EMS.
The driver of the vehicle did not remain at the scene and fled southbound on Saratoga Avenue, cops said.
