NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A fire engulfed a car on Long Island Friday morning — and firefighters who put out the blaze found a body inside, police said.
Emergency personnel responding to a 911 call found the car on fire in the backyard of a home on Seaman Avenue in Freeport around 10:45 a.m. on Friday, Nassau County police said.
A body was discovered inside the car after firefighters extinguished the blaze, the department said.
Police didn't immediately release the person's name or age. An investigation is ongoing.
