Boy, 14, arrested for brick attack that smashed window of oncoming subway train

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD arrested a teen boy accused of damaging a Brooklyn subway train by throwing a brick at it last month, authorities said.

The teen, whose name was not released due to his age, was charged with reckless endangerment and criminal mischief, police said Monday.


According to officials, at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, the 14-year-old threw a brick at a northbound D train approaching the 62nd Street-New Utrecht Avenue station in Borough Park, causing extensive damage to the window of the train operator's cabin.

No one was injured in the brick attack, according to police.

The teen was accompanied by two other males, police said.
