NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 14-year-old boy was arrested and charged on Monday with attempted murder after allegedly opening fire with two accomplices on a Brooklyn street in January, police said.
On Jan. 13, at approximately 4:15 p.m., three suspects fired shots in front of NYCHA's Tilden Houses on Dumont Avenue in Brownsville, hitting a parked car with people inside and a storefront, according to police.
No injuries were reported at the time, authorities said.
Following an investigation, all three suspects were arrested.
The first suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested on Jan. 24 and charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
Over the weekend, Josiah Brown, 18, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a firearm.
The latest arrest, the 14-year-old suspect, resulted in charges of attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment, police said.
