NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 14-year-old boy was killed while subway surfing in Queens on Thursday evening—just a week after another 14-year-old boy died doing the same dangerous stunt in Brooklyn.

The teen was riding on top of a 7 train just before 5:30 p.m. when he fell off the car and onto the elevated tracks near the 33rd Street–Rawson Street station in Long Island City.

Emergency responders found him lying on the roadbed with severe head trauma.

He was rushed in critical condition to Cohen Children's Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, a 14-year-old boy was struck and killed by an L train as he was subway surfing at the Broadway Junction station in Brownsville. A second boy was injured in the incident.

And just weeks before that, a 15-year-old boy was killed while subway surfing on top of a Staten Island Railway train. He struck his head on an overhead structure at the Eltingville station, police said.

Mayor Eric Adams has blamed the rash of deaths on TikTok, where he said videos of subway surfing have been viewed millions of times. He called on the social media platform to "ban these videos immediately and take them down."

"This dangerous activity predates our platform, and we strictly remove such content if we see it on TikTok," a spokesperson for the social media company said in a statement to multiple outlets.
