Boy, 14, stabbed in face, critically injured in Midtown; 2 men sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 14-year-old boy was in critical condition after he was stabbed in the face outside a gift shop in Midtown Manhattan on Wednesday evening, police said amid a search for two suspects.

The teen was stabbed above his left eye and also in the arm on West 44th Street, at Eighth Avenue, around 7 p.m.

He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Police said they were searching for two men in ski masks who fled the scene. They remained at large Thursday.
