NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 15-year-old boy was shot outside a Brooklyn high school on Thursday night, adding to a recent string of teen shooting incidents.
According to police, the shooting happened on Herkimer Street and Saratoga Avenue just outside Eagle Academy in Ocean Hill just before 9 p.m.
The boy was shot in the left arm and rushed by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.
A 17-year-old male was found to be in possession of a gun at the scene, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Cops said the circumstances surrounding the assault are still being investigated.
The Brooklyn shooting took place around the same time that two other teens were wounded, one critically, in the Bronx, and only hours after a 13-year-old boy was busted with a loaded revolver at a middle school in the Bronx's Fordham Heights section.
On Wednesday, a 13-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly shooting a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl near a magnet school in Cambria Heights, Queens.
