NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police launched an investigation after a 16-year-old boy was shot in Brooklyn late Sunday night, authorities said on Monday.
According to officials, the teen was shot in the leg and torso near East 39th Street and Glenwood Road in East Flatbush just before 11 p.m.
The teen reported hearing shots and feeling pain, and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County where police described his condition as stable.
It remains unclear if the teen was the intended target.
There have been no arrests made so far and an investigation is ongoing.
A description of the suspect was not immediately provided by the NYPD.
