NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating after a 16-year-old boy was attacked and slashed while riding a Bronx subway train early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The teen was riding a southbound 2 train near the Jackson Avenue station in Melrose when he got into an argument with a man, officials said.
According to police, the man allegedly kicked the teen then left the train car and came back with a knife. He then slashed the teen in the back left side of his head before getting off at Prospect Avenue.
The teen was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem with a minor laceration.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and red and white Nike sneakers.
