NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 16-year-old boy who was shot 13 times on Staten Island on Thursday afternoon miraculously survived the shooting and is recovering at a hospital, police said Friday.
The teen was gunned down around 4:40 p.m. at Pauw Street and York Avenue in New Brighton, according to police.
He suffered gunshot wounds to his back, legs and an arm, police said.
Despite the widespread injuries, he survived and was in stable condition at Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton, according to cops.
The shooter fled the scene and remained at large Friday.
Police are investigating a motive for the shooting but believe it may have been gang-related, sources told 1010 WINS.
