NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 17-year-old boy was arrested for murder Thursday in connection with Monday night's stabbing off Times Square that left a 39-year-old Massachusetts man dead.
The suspect, who wasn't identified because of his age, faces charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon, the NYPD said.
NYPD officers responded around 11:30 p.m. Monday to a 911 call about an assault in an alleyway beside the Burger & Lobster restaurant at 132 West 43rd St., steps from Times Square.
The victim, Leonides Baez, of Worchester, had been stabbed multiple times in the torso and back, police said. He also had a slash wound to the face. He died at Bellevue Hospital.
According to reports, there was some sort of argument between the victim and his attacker leading up to the stabbing.
