Boy, 3, dies after falling from window at Harlem apartment building: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 3-year-old boy died Friday morning after falling out of a window at a Harlem apartment building.

According to police, the boy fell from an “elevated position” at a building on West 133rd Street, between Frederick Douglas and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. boulevards, just before 10:30 a.m.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the toddler, identified as Daniel Galeas, to NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. Authorities said the investigation was still ongoing.

There were no arrests reported in connection with the incident as of Friday afternoon.
