NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating after a 4-year-old boy was struck by a minivan on a Brooklyn street Sunday evening.
The incident occurred around 6:10 p.m. at Gerritsen Avenue and Seba Avenue in Gerritsen Beach, officials said.

According to police, a 58-year-old man heading south on Gerristen Avenue in a white minivan struck the boy who was riding a scooter mid-block.
The boy was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, according to authorites.
The driver remained on the scene and police said no criminality is expected.
The investigation remains ongoing.
