NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A boy and girl, both 15 years old, were shot and wounded as two gunmen unleashed a hail of bullets at a basketball court in the Rockaways on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The NYPD released photos Thursday showing the pair of suspects who allegedly opened fire while riding a scooter and bicycle through NYCHA’s Ocean Bay Apartments complex in Edgemere.

The gunfire broke out around 4:15 p.m. on a court behind 441 Beach 51st St.

The girl suffered gunshot wounds to the left leg and arm, while the boy suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg, police said.

They were both transported by EMS to Cohen Children’s Medical Center, where they were in stable condition.

The two shooters quickly took off, one on a Citi Bike and the other on a metal kick scooter, according to police.

It’s unclear if the two teens were the targets of the shooting or bystanders on the court.
