NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD on Monday released surveillance of a man captured on video beating a Bronx deli employee during an armed robbery earlier this month.
At approximately 6:15 a.m., on December 2, a 22-year-old store clerk was approached by the unknown man who displayed a firearm inside of a deli located at 761 East 169th Street in Morrisania.
A struggle ensued between the store employee and the suspect who struck the victim in the back of the head numerous times causing a laceration, according to police.
The suspect removed approximately $7 dollars from the cash register and fled on foot to parts unknown, officials said.
The victim refused medical attention.
